With over two decades at UMass Campus Development, Mohammed has made significant contributions to campus planning, facilities programming, and project management. Drawing on his deep expertise in planning and design, he integrates insights from diverse disciplines to create innovative and impactful solutions.

Richard Ahlstrom is a Capital Project Manager at Facilities & Campus Services.

Construction Engineer Shelley Allen-Czepiel has an associate’s degree in civil engineering and nearly 3 decades of construction inspection experience.

Richard Aquadro is a Resident Engineer at Facilities & Campus Services.

Joe Balzano joined UMass Amherst in 2005. He is a Massachusetts Registered Architect that has spent most of his professional career working on or managing public planning, design, & construction projects within the Commonwealth.

Ruby Bansal brings more than 20 years of research expertise in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience, coupled with extensive experience in lab management, to her position as Senior Lab Planner in DCM. Holding a BS in Biochemistry from UMass Amherst, Ruby is also pursuing a master's degree in Business Analytics.

Melissa Bergeron joined Campus Planning in the Fall of 2023, though she has held various roles in Facilities & Campus Services since 2004. In her current role, Melissa leads the Space and Asset Management Team, overseeing the campus-wide space inventory system, space utilization, analysis, and needs assessments.

Gaetan Blais currently serves as Capital Projects Manager

Samantha Buck holds a Bachelor of Science from UMass Amherst and a Project Management Certificate from Cape Cod Community College. She spent 13 years in the UMass IT Department, where she gained extensive experience in creating and editing floor plans.
