Planning, space and building renovations, new construction, and infrastructure/ non-building construction improvements at UMass Amherst are conducted by in-house staff as well as through procurement of design and construction services, as required by the project size and complexity.  Most projects generally fall into three categories, on the basis of available funding.

  • Campus-Funded projects under $10M
  • Larger Projects that involve the UMass Building Authority (UMBA)
  • Larger Projects that involve the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAMM)

If you or your department are thinking about or considering a potential project that might cost under $10M and is likely to be funded with campus funds, please visit the How to for UMass Clients pull-down menu.

If you are a designer, please visit the respective How to for Designers website.

If you are a contractor or vendor interested in working with us, please visit the How to for Contractors and Vendors website.
