

Tilman Wolf to Talk UMass Sustainability at NYC Green School Conference 2023

Tilman Wolf, senior vice provost for academic affairs and associate chancellor for space and capital planning, will speak on UMass Amherst’s sustainability efforts at the seventh annual NYC Green School Conference on Sept. 15 at Cornell University.
The NYC Green School Conference is an annual event on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly that brings together sustainability education leaders from universities and schools to share ideas, initiatives, and best practices related to conscious education.
Conference organizers chose UMass Amherst in recognition that it is “one of the leading universities in promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness.”

Wolf, a professor of electrical and computer engineering, is expected to speak to the university’s sustainability goals and commitments, the highlights of UMass’ sustainability achievements and initiatives and the challenges faced and lessons learned during their implementation; engagement and collaboration efforts involving students, staff and the local community; and future plans and aspirations for sustainability efforts.
