If you have a passion for environmental issues, and you want to learn more about the science behind them, the minor in environmental science is a great choice for you. You’ll gain interdisciplinary knowledge and tools to meet the challenges of creating a safe and healthy environment. You’ll also recognize and learn how to control the effects of pollution and environmental stress on ecosystems. 

The minor requires five courses, and covers a range of environmental topics to suit your interests and goals. You’ll have the flexibility to choose from multiple courses in areas such as Earth science, ecology and conservation science, environmental policy and land use, and environmental quality, planning, and assessment.  

This minor works well for students from many different disciplines and can be especially well suited to those majoring in engineering, earth systems, geosciences, and other related areas.
