The culture, health, and science (CHS) program is a certificate option for students in any of the Five Colleges. Working toward the CHS certificate allows you to learn about human health, disease, and healing through disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.

Graduate programs are aware of the importance of this kind of interdisciplinary background, and the CHS certificate will have you well prepared. You’ll also learn to recognize historical patterns, develop technical skills, communicate with a wide range of audiences, and much more.

Working with an advisor on your campus, you’ll develop a version of the program that fits your interests and goals. At the same time, you’ll benefit from the cross-campus connections and collaborations the Five College experience makes possible.
