The fifth-year master of science in plant and soil sciences program gives you the opportunity to continue your current undergraduate research projects and provides you the opportunity to earn your MS degree in just one year. 

This accelerated program qualifies you for advanced career opportunities, and prepares you for admission to PhD programs. The degree can be completed in two semesters and is available to all BS students in the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and environmental science majors, offering both a thesis and a non-thesis track.

Research areas include climate change adaption, soil pollution and health, nano-enabled agriculture, plant biotechnology, agroecology, plant health and physiology, insect-plant interaction, microbe-plant interaction, soil biogeochemistry, turfgrass science, and horticulture science.
