Borrow Equipment From College of Education IT

Contact EdTech to request/reserve your equipment

Equipment loans are available only to faculty, staff, and students of the College of Education. To be used for UMass-related activities.  
Pick up equipment in W109.

  • Laptops

    • Mac - 4x laptops for short-term use
    • PC - 4x laptops for short-term use

  • Adapters / Dongles / Thing-a-ma-bobs

    • Connect to Video - USB-C to HDMI (One-day limit due to demand)
    • Connect to Ethernet
    • Connect from USB-C to USB-A
    • Connect to multicard reader (SD cards, camera cards, etc)
    • Read disks - portable DVD/CD-RW drive

  • Laptop chargers

    • Dell 65W USB-C universal chargers. (Works with all devices that accept USB-C charging. Even Apple devices.)

  • Portable Conference equipment

    • 3x Meeting Owl version 1 (360 Video/Mic/Speaker)
    • 1x IPEVO Totem 360 (360 Video/Mic/Speaker)
    • 4x Jabra Speak/Speak2 (Mic/Speaker only)

  • Document Camera

    • IPEVO DO-CAM USB Document Camera

  • Video Cameras

    • Canon Vixia HF R700/R800

  • Tripods

  • Audio Recorders

 

Loans from the Library 

The digital media lab in the library has additional items for loan. 

Loans from UMass IT

  • Travel laptop - Central IT offers a loan program for travel laptops used for work.

Policy for loans

Most loans are for up to 3 days.  We can make an exception for longer-term loans in case of a repair.  If items are not returned, we will charge your account for the replacement.
