More About Our Location

As of January 2025, Disability Services (DS) is housed in the newly renovated Goodell Building. Our offices are located in the southwest corner of the 4th floor, in suite 435. The main DS office includes all of our staff (including Learning Specialists and the UIL program that were previously in Bartlett Hall) except for the exam center. The Exam Proctoring Center (EPC) is adjacent to the main DS office space but has its own entrance and lobby to suite 420 Goodell.

There is ground level access on to Goodell on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors. Our office suite is also located directly next to an elevator, and there are accessible and gender-neutral restrooms very close to the elevator as well.

If you are approaching Goodell from the west, coming from the Honors College or the Rec Center, you can enter onto the 3rd floor of Goodell. If you proceed up the wide white stairs to the 4th floor, the EPC entrance will be just ahead on your right. If you take a right down the hallway just past the EPC, it will bring you to the main DS office on the right. If you go past the stairs on the 3rd floor you will find the elevator, which you can take to the 4th floor, just outside the main DS office.

If you are approaching Goodell from the east, coming from near Old Chapel or the Du Bois Library, you will pass through the columns and enter onto the 5th floor of Goodell. You will need to make your way through the 5th floor to the elevator or stairs, and go down to the 4th floor. The Disability Services entrance is right next to the elevator, and the stairs on the south side. To get to the Exam Proctoring Center, you would take the hallway to the north side of the building, and the EPC would be on your left.

If you are approaching Goodell from the south, coming from Barlett or anywhere toward Massachusetts Avenue, you can enter onto the 5th floor through the columns as described above, or turn left before reaching that main Goodell entrance. On the south side of the building, there is a sloped path and then a few exterior stairs down to a 4th floor entrance right outside the Disability Services suite. If you go straight down the hall instead turning left for the DS office, you will get to the EPC on the left.

If you are approaching from the north, such as from South College, or if you have an accessible parking and are driving to the building, you can enter the 4th floor via the accessible parking lot. The EPC will be in front and to the right, and if you go straight down the hallway from the north entrance to the south entrance, the DS office will be on your right.

Visiting Us

When visiting either our main Disability Services office or our Exam Proctoring Center, please refrain from wearing strong scents such as perfume or cologne. Such scents can exacerbate asthma, cause migraines, and result in skin irritation. In our shared space, where students must utilize the space for access, we ask you to refrain for the use of additional scents for the safety of your peers.
