Disability Services offers weekly virtual drop-in hours for faculty/instructors and staff who have questions, concerns, or are seeking guidance around accommodations, how they work, how to implement them within the unique structure of a specific courses, etc. (Students should schedule a meeting with an Access Coordinator via Clockwork, or call our front desk at 413-545-0892 for support.)

Disability Services administers a collection of academic scholarships, available through Academic Works, the UMass Amherst scholarship system. The application deadline is March 16, 2026.

Reginald “Reg” Andrade, Access Specialist for Disability Services, was recently appointed to serve a three year term on the Town of Amherst’s Commission for Persons with Disabilities.

The Career Center in the College of Natural Sciences is promoting Entry Point!, a STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) internship program for college students with physical, sensory, and/or learning disabilities. The deadline to apply for these internships is Feb 13, 2026.

Disability Services is proud to announce the creation of four new step-by-step video tutorials to orient students to some of the modules in our database system, Clockwork. 

The National Organization on Disability (NOD) is hosting a Virtual Career Fair on Thursday, September 4, 2025. 

The UMass Alliance Against Ableism (AAA) has a Creative Writing Workshop to explore disability identity through writing, and it's open to students, faculty, and staff. The AAA is also currently accepting submissions for a zine on disability identity, due by Sunday, August 3rd, 2025.
