Who are some people you feel have contributed to your success at UMass?

Many people have contributed to my success at UMass. My family and friends have provided constant support and encouragement throughout my journey. In addition, faculty members Heather Wemhoener and Elizabeth Devine have played an important role in guiding and supporting me during my time at UMass.

What is your favorite UMass memory?

Some of my favorite memories at UMass include living in Central during my freshman year and spending time with friends on the hill on nice days. Another highlight was taking Nutrition 210, where I had the opportunity to participate in a cooking lab and learn about the scientific properties of food.

What surprised you most about your major?

I was most surprised by how science-heavy many of my courses were. While I developed a strong interest in them—especially learning about the science behind metabolism—it wasn’t something I expected when I first chose Nutrition as my major.

What’s next after UMass?

After UMass I am attending Boston University’s MSDI program in the fall!

What made your UMass experience special or unique?

One thing that made my UMass experience unique was that I was on the exploratory track in SPHHS until my sophomore year. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to pursue at first, but by continuing to take classes and explore different subjects, I was eventually able to find my path.
