Public Health Sciences Capstone Symposium
Content
The Public Health Sciences program will host its Fall 2026 Public Health Capstone Symposium on Tuesday, December 1st from 5–6 PM in the Campus Center Auditorium. This signature event marks a major academic milestone for its graduating seniors and offers a dynamic, celebratory atmosphere where students present their work to peers, faculty, and the broader campus community.
As the culminating experience of the PUBHLTH 494 Capstone course, the symposium showcases the research and projects students have developed throughout the semester. It also provides an invaluable opportunity for seniors to strengthen their professional communication skills by presenting their findings, engaging with an audience, and discussing their work in a public forum—experiences that stand out on resumes and in future career pursuits.
Participation in the capstone and symposium is a requirement for all public health majors prior to graduation. The program encourages underclassmen to attend this year’s event to gain insight into the capstone experience.
