Fiona Jamal Almeida

Fiona J. Almeida is a community health education scholar whose research focuses on women’s health, including menstruation and menopause, within global health care contexts. Her work uses anthropological and global public health methods to develop and implement appropriate health education and culturally responsive care. She works at the intersection of culture, identity, and health to reshape how women’s health is studied, understood, and supported.
