About
Andrea Ayvazian is a passionate educator and community-engaged scholar with a global perspective on community health and adult learning. She completed her undergraduate studies in Brazil (biology and nursing), and went on to get a doctorate of education with a dissertation on transformative education with marginalized adults in community-based settings. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Community Health Education and is currently redesigning the popular general education course My Body, My Health using innovative, learner-centered approaches.
