In honor of the game being Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day, UMass Athletics is presenting a special $15 ticket offer for faculty and staff. General public tickets are also available online. Those attending the game should note that there will be an updated traffic pattern, as well as new parking protocols and a new in-stadium barbecue option for this season. Parking passes are $10 when purchased in advance along with a ticket, and $20 (cash only) when purchased at the stadium on gameday.

For those unable to make it to campus, the game will be broadcast on subscription streaming service ESPN+.

Massachusetts is 6-0 in home openers under head coach Don Brown. Last season, the Minutemen posted a 20-3 victory over Stony Brook in Brown's return to McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

UMass and Miami have met four times, with the RedHawks holding a 3-1 series lead. All four previous meetings came when both teams were part of the Mid-American Conference (MAC), with the Minutemen posting their win in in 2013.
