Student Spotlight: Waverly Lau

“Having this research opportunity really let me understand what we do in this lab and learn all the different procedures. It showed me a little bit of what I’m interested in and what I’m not. And I'm still learning every single day.” 

Waverly Lau spent her summer as a William Lee Science Impact Program (Lee SIP) scholar, researching dams and sediment in Jon Woodruff’s Sedimentology Lab. 

Waverly worked alongside faculty and grad students as they investigated the rising sea level’s effect on tidal marshes.
