Cosmic Connections with Dean Fox

This event, hosted by Department of Astronomy, honors the rich heritage of astronomical research at UMass dating back to the 1960s. This family-friendly event offers a stellar lineup, including:

  • A warm welcome from Dean Fox
  • A captivating faculty talk on the wonders of the night sky
  • Hands-on interactive activities and telescope displays
  • Stunning space imagery on view
  • Astronomy students showcasing their new astrophotography gear
  • A sneak peek at conceptual designs for the upcoming Orchard Hill Observatory
  • Refreshments and exclusive CNS giveaways
  • A chance to explore the universe, connect with fellow astronomy enthusiasts, and celebrate decades of discovery and innovation!   ​​​​​​​

Bring your curiosity as we explore the night skies together with state-of-the art telescopes and expert guides.
