Student Art Sale and Open Studios

March 27, 2026 12:00-4:00 p.m., Studio Arts Building

The Art Department invites the UMass and greater Pioneer Valley communities to our semi-annual Student Art Sale and Open Studio Event, a lively celebration of student creativity and artistic practice. This special event offers the opportunity to support emerging artists while shopping for original, affordable artwork across a wide range of media. Looking for a unique gift or artwork for your own home? Browse art prints, paintings, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, tote bags, t-shirts, stickers, functional pottery, and many fun, unexpected treasures. The sale not only showcases the incredible range of student work but also provides hands-on entrepreneurship experience—students keep 100% of their profits, with no selling or setup fees. In addition to the art sale, students will open their studios to the public, giving visitors the chance to meet the artists, explore their creative spaces, and learn more about their ideas and processes.  This event is the perfect way to discover unique handmade pieces and strengthen creative community connections

Getting There:

By car: Metered visitor parking is available at the Robsham Visitor Center, 300 Massachusetts Ave, Amherst. (about a 6-min walk). Limited metered spots are also available along Thatcher Road.
Public Transportation: PVTA 46 line Studio Arts Building stop is right outside the building. Nearby, the Haigis Mall stop (about a 5-minute walk) provides access to routes 30, 31, 35, 36, and 43, along with regional bus services.
