Commonwealth Honors College Residential Community Multi-year Residence Halls
As an Honors College sophomore, junior, or senior, you can live in suites or apartments available in four of the Honors Living-Learning Community residence halls.
The four air-conditioned multi-year residences, Birch, Maple, Elm, and Linden halls, offer a choice of suites and apartments in the Commonwealth Honors College Residential Community (CHCRC). Most suites and apartments accommodate four residents who share a bathroom and common living space. Both offer single or shared bedrooms in a variety of configurations. Apartments include kitchens while suites do not.
The CHCRC is in the heart of the campus, right next door to the Recreation Center, and minutes away from most campus classrooms, the W.E.B. Du Bois Library, the Campus Center, Mullins Center, and intramural fields.
With six residence halls, living space for staff and faculty in residence, classrooms, the Bloom Honors Advising Center, Roots Café, and a large events hall, the design of the CHCRC promotes the kinds of informal interactions among students, faculty members, and advisors that extend classroom learning.
You may also choose designated Honors housing in North Apartments or other on- and off-campus housing options. To learn more about your housing options, visit undergraduate student housing.
As a first-year Honors College student, you will appreciate living in the CHCRC, designed specifically as an Honors Living-Learning Community.
