Meet with an Advisor
Honors advisors are a team of professional advisors who collaborate to provide expert guidance and support in fulfilling the Honors curriculum requirements and enhancing your academic journey.
An Honors advisor can help you integrate Honors requirements with your major and university requirements and advise you on how to interact effectively with faculty, guide you in exploring various approaches to research, and provide support in getting started with research.
Beyond academics, Honors advisors take a holistic approach to help you navigate your college experience. They help you to identify and connect your academic and co-curricular interests and develop strategies to achieve your intellectual and professional goals.
You are encouraged to meet with an Honors advisor at least once per semester. These meetings provide opportunities to review your academic schedule, explore co-curricular options, learn about university resources, and plan for study abroad, internships, and Five College courses and activities. Advisors also guide you through thesis planning and help you maximize your overall educational experience at UMass.
