Education

The education programs at UMass Amherst are fundamentally shaped by a commitment to social justice and diversity. The mission of the College of Education is equally diverse and multifaceted, training educators to be adaptive to modern challenges and innovative in the face of adversity. Our graduates work within public and private schools, social service agencies, after-school programs, nonprofits, and shape public policy. Our curriculum is both global and local in scale, preparing graduates to take on vital roles as educators in Massachusetts and around the world.
