Special education doctoral students, Ashleigh Daher, Carrie Ruggiano, Kimberly McIntee, Chalais Carter, and faculty member Michael Krezmien presented their research at the New England Educational Research Conference.
Daher's research focuses on "Understanding Undocumented ELL Students' Resilience in the Times of COVID-19". Ruggiano's presentation was titled "Adapt and Serve the Community! Voices of Families of Youth of Color in Predominantly White, Rural Communities." McKintee's presentation was titled "Subjection and Subjectivity: Heightened Challenges for Black, Indigenous, and Economically Disenfranchised Students Amidst a Pandemic". Carter's work was titled "Youth Informed Research: Drawing on Students’ Feedback for Initiating Change at a Middle School Summer Learning Program". Krezmien and colleagues reported "A State-Wide Analysis of School-Level Factors to Reduce Disproportionate Suspension Practices for Marginalized Groups".
