Education Club

Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment for aspiring educators to connect with one another and the greater community.

Education Club is a registered student organization that aims to connect students with a passion for education and provide them with resources to access various educational opportunities within our community. Our meetings are focused on discussing opportunities in local schools, programs, and the College of Education. We also spend our time getting to know one another and finding connections with our peers, which can provide valuable connections that best prepare you for your career path! Our club enhances our ability to work effectively, creatively, and collaboratively in the field of education.

We meet weekly during the semester on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in Furcolo Hall. Our first club meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 pm.  Join our mailing list to get weekly updates on meetings and activities! You can contact us at umasseducclub [at] gmail [dot] com (umasseducclub[at]gmail[dot]com)

Remember to follow us on Instagram!

During the Semester, the club welcomes numerous guest speakers to discuss education, including Education professors, Ed Club alumni, and current teachers in the local communities.  The club provides opportunities for students to volunteer in our local community.  Each semester the club hosts a major event that can range from a book, school supply, or food drive, or our yearly event College for Kids.

College for Kids is our annual event where the club hosts kids from local communities for a day in the life of a college student including play-based activities in a variety of academic subjects.  It is a great way to learn to create a lesson plan and teach it all while giving back to the community.
