About

We are glad you're a part of the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences!

At SBS, we are committed to helping you navigate your graduate student experience. The College offers a wide variety of graduate programs, including in-person, online, and (4+1) accelerated programs. Whether you are a traditional student attending an in-person program or a working professional opting for a part-time schedule, we strive to create flexible options wherever possible to meet your unique needs.

This page offers some of the most commonly accessed resources for graduate students. The UMass Amherst Graduate School website is a great resource for funding, professional development, and other events tailored to your experience. Within the College, the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) offers methodology workshops every semester to help you build essential research skills.

Graduate school can be an exciting but stressful experience. The Center for Counseling and Psychological Health offers a number of informal and formal mental health tools to help. These resources are free in most cases, so don't hesitate to reach out for assistance if you need it!
