BSE coordinator and facilitator Boone Shear has received the 2026 University Distinguished Community Engagement Award for Teaching.

C.N. Le, sociology, and Shemon Salam, social thought and political economy, have been awarded the 2026 Outstanding Teaching Award. 

Nathan Chan, resource economics, and Elizabeth Sharrow, public policy and history, have received the 2026 Outstanding Research Award.

Dorise Heller, resource economics, and Shawn Samuels, public policy, have received the 2026 Nicola Mare Usher SBS Outstanding Advising Award. 

Adam Dahl, political science, and Aida Villanueva, sociology, have received the 2025 Outstanding Mentor Award. 

Aimee Jo Pion, LARP, Julie Sarsynski, Dean's Office, and Emily White, Public Policy, have been awarded the 2026 SBS Outstanding Staff Award. 

Venus Mary Green, a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology, has been awarded the Gaius Charles Bolin Fellowship at Williams College.

Debadatta Chakraborty, a doctoral candidate in sociology, is the latest recipient of the Newcomb Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship. 

Jackie Brousseau-Pereira, Academic Dean and Director of First Year Seminars, has been awarded the 2025 Dean's Service Award. 

Vanessa Blais, SBS Pathways Center, and John Ciampa, Journalism, have received the 2025 Nicola Mare Usher SBS Outstanding Advising Award. 

Jasmine Kerrissey, Sociology and Labor Studies, and Jesse Rhodes, Political Science and UMass Poll, have received the 2025 Outstanding Research Award.

Brian Sargent, Public Policy and Sociology, and Regine Spector, Political Science, have been awarded the 2025 Outstanding Teaching Award.
