Researchers in the Musculoskeletal & Orthopedic Biomechanics Lab (MOBL) seek healthy adult volunteers between the ages of 18 and 35 for a study investigating how muscle function impacts the way we walk.

Participants will be asked to make one visit to the lab to complete:

  • knee muscle strength testing;
  • knee muscle fatiguing exercise;
  • 3 short bouts of treadmill walking while researchers measure walking patterns and muscle activity.

The visit will last approximately 3 hours and $30 compensation will be provided.

To find out if you are eligible, take our screening survey. For more information, contact ecasto [at] umass [dot] edu (ecasto[at]umass[dot]edu).
