MOBL Research Group Seeks Male Volunteers for Knee Osteoarthritis Study

The Musculoskeletal Orthopedic Biomechanics Lab (MOBL) Research Group of the Department of Kinesiology in the School of Public Health and Health Sciences is seeking male volunteers between the ages of 65-80 and osteoarthritis in one knee for a study investigating muscle fatigue and knee osteoarthritis and its effects on gait and mobility. 

To participate in this study, volunteers must not have any neurological or neuromuscular disease, a history of stroke, peripheral vascular disease, cardiac or pulmonary disease, have significant arthritis of any joint other than the knee or a history of metabolic diseases or disorders. 

This study will take place in the Institute for Applied Life Sciences (IALS) laboratory for two visits for a total of approximately five hours. Qualified participants will receive a free MRI, gait analysis, mobility and muscle strength assessments and $60 compensation upon completion.
