Bozorgzadeh, Jackson Receive Gerald F. Scanlon Student Employee of the Year Awards

Graduating seniors Samantha Bozorgzadeh and Shanazi Jackson, both Nutrition majors, are among the 10 UMass student employees named winners of the 2023 Gerald F. Scanlon Student Employees of the Year Award. Bozorgzadeh was recognized for her work as Lab Manager for Professor of Biology Margaret Riley, while Jackson was honored for her work as a Teaching Lab Support Technician in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Instituted in the 1987-88 academic year, the award honors students who have demonstrated outstanding performance by contributing their time and/or skill to help the university achieve its goals and objectives.
