Nutrient Analysis Internship

Nutrition student receives guidance from a certified allergy trainer
Work with dietitians at the best college dining service in the country.

The Nutrient Analysis intern is trained to become a certified allergy trainer to train staff about food allergy management and prevention. They also learn how to assign allergen and health grades to menu items. In addition, interns learn how to use a menu management analysis program and how to modify and taste-test recipes.

In this internship students will:

  • Prepare weekly menus for dining commons and special events
  • Attend food allergy trainings
  • Input food allergens of incoming students into CSGOLD program
  • Research ingredients, identify allergens and enter into menu management program
  • Assist in menu changes in the menu management program
  • Assist in other duties as assigned (recipe research for specials, nutrition education programs)
