Description

This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the language of medicine beginning with an analysis of terminology and the relationship of terms to related anatomy and physiology. The content will progress to an understanding of terms in relation to health and disease, with applications to all aspects of patient care: diagnostics, treatment, documentation, and collaboration with other members of the health care team. This course is best suited to students with an interest in further educational or career opportunities in healthcare fields, particularly those planning to pursue graduate studies in the various medical, dental, and other professional health disciplines.
