The course extends students' knowledge of rehabilitative audiology beyond hearing aid fittings to a broad range of hearing assistance technologies and to the special needs of the pediatric population. Topics include unique language and rehabilitative characteristics of children with hearing loss, pediatric amplification, hearing assistive technologies, implantable devices, FM/DM and remote microphone systems.
