Doctor of Audiology Program
The doctor of audiology (AuD) education program in audiology (residential) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850; 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.

Students completing the program will be eligible for Massachusetts Licensure in Audiology. They will also met will meet entrance criteria for Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. For more information see ASHA's Certification webpage.
Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology Program

Students will be eligible for Massachusetts Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and a Department of Education Professional Support License as Specialist in Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders. Educator Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
The University of Massachusetts Amherst offers licensure programs in the following areas. All of these licenses are endorsed by UMass — through the state of Massachusetts — Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Initial License: Professional Support License
Specialist in Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders (all grades)
These programs lead to initial teacher licensure in Massachusetts. Because of reciprocity agreements between states, you may be able to transfer your license to another state. However, the College of Education at UMass Amherst makes no guarantees that this program meets teacher licensure requirements in any state other than Massachusetts. All Students
Students who plan to leave Massachusetts following graduation may find that other states' requirements for both professional licensure in audiology or speech-language pathology and educator licensure may differ from those of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our program has not made the determination as to whether the curriculum meets the requirements of any state other than Massachusetts.
