About
Jonathan Engel has been teaching with the online MPH program since its inception in 2001. He has authored six books on the U.S. health care system and is currently researching a book-length study on federal science policy in the decades after World War II, focusing particularly on the response of the American scientific community and research universities to increases in government science funding. The book draws heavily on primary research conducted in manuscript collections of the following libraries: Library of Congress; National Museum of American History (Smithsonian); National Archives; MIT; Harvard; CUNY; New York Public Library; Rockefeller Archives; and the presidential libraries of Presidents Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson.
