Amanda Paluch

I am a physical activity epidemiologist and kinesiologist focused on advancing the measurement and promotion of physical activity. My research includes developing wearable sensor technologies to monitor movement and health. As an epidemiologist, I study the associations of physical activity and chronic disease with an emphasis on advancing the science on daily steps as a public health metric. My long-term goal is to reduce the burden of chronic disease and promote healthy aging through technology-assisted physical activity interventions that can be disseminated through clinicians and population-level efforts.
