Student Spotlight: Gabe Zeinoun
Gabe Zeinoun is a rising senior majoring in biology and minoring in computer science. His choice to study biology was heavily influenced by a teacher he had in high school. His teacher made the subject so fun to learn, he wanted to continue his biology education at UMass!
Gabe enjoys that studying biology allows him to explore several different scientific areas and functions. He loves tying all his knowledge together to use in practical applications, like his current research for the William Lee Science Impact Program (Lee SIP).
Lee SIP is a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program designed to expand and broaden participation in undergraduate research. The program provides students the opportunity to work on fun, novel, and interesting scientific questions by matching them with faculty members with similar research interests.
Gabe is currently working on cancer research and drug development with the Skouta Lab on campus.
