Late Pass/Fail Petition

For changing the grading of a course to Pass/Fail after the deadline.

Undergraduate students may elect the Pass/Fail option before the W Drop date for one course only. No General Education requirements will be fulfilled with courses taken on a Pass/Fail basis. Details regarding use of this option may be found in the Academic Regulations handbook

If you wish to appeal for a late pass/fail after the W Drop date, you can only do so if you have significant and well documented extenuating circumstances for your academic dean to consider approval or denial.

If you wish to be considered for converting a class from a letter grade to pass/fail after W Drop date, you must submit a Late Pass/Fail Petition.

No late pass/fails will be considered after grades are posted.

The CNS Deans will review all requests and will notify the student by email of the final decision.
