About the Ambassadorship

The IT Student Ambassador Program increases direct engagement with students to increase proactive support and improve technology assistance for students living and learning at UMass Amherst. The program also introduces students to UMass IT’s internship program and other opportunities to serve as a career ladder to students from all areas of the University’s academic programs.

IT Student Ambassadors engage with their peers through campus events and social media to promote IT resources, information, and initiatives to undergraduate and graduate students. Ambassadors also evaluate select IT services, such as SPIRE and Canvas, meeting with IT staff across multiple areas to gain insight into development processes and provide direct feedback to improve the student experience.
