For Undergraduate Students
All undergraduate students at UMass Amherst automatically have access to Navigate360 Student, accessible as a mobile app and a desktop experience. With Navigate360 Student, you can schedule advising and other academic support appointments, view holds on your account, see your class schedule, find students to study with in your classes, and see the offices and resources on campus that are available to support you.
To download the app
- Open Google Play or the Apple App Store on your phone.
- Search for Navigate Student and install the app.
- Once installed, search for “UMass Amherst”.
- Use your NETID and password to log in.

For Staff and Faculty
Navigate360 is a retention and persistence tool designed to connect our university and enhance student success. Navigate360 offers staff and faculty access to student profiles with crucial advising information and a platform for efficient appointment scheduling with students. All advising interactions with undergraduate students are documented in Navigate360.
Three Steps to Navigate360 Access for Staff and Faculty* Advisors
- Complete the online FERPA Certification.
- Apply for access in SPIRE
- From the SPIRE home screen, click the Profile tile, then Access & Privacy on the left side of the screen, and then SPIRE Access Request. Fill out the form and check the box for Student Success Collaborative Navigate360.
- Participate in Training:
- After access request is approved, staff/faculty receive an invitation to participate in training.
*Faculty looking to provide course progress feedback to undergraduate students in partnership with our Academic Alert initiative do not need to request additional access to Navigate360. All instructors of undergraduate courses (listed in SPIRE) are automatically granted “Professor” access to Navigate360 and can log it with their NETID and password.
