Humanities Research and Creative Laboratories Grant

Each year, HFA offers up to two Research and Creative Laboratories grants to support interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty and students across colleges, as budget allows. For the 2026–2027 awards cycle, grants will support a Design + Engineering Laboratory and a Law and Society Laboratory, to advance innovative, outward-facing work that engages with complex contemporary challenges.

Projects are expected to produce measurable knowledge, creative work, and interdisciplinary engagement. Grant funds provide the foundation for expanding the reach and visibility of this work and may help position projects for future funding, broader university collaboration, and engagement with communities beyond the university.
