Undergraduate Students Can Apply to the Christie and Chinua Achebe Scholarship Fund
The Christie and Chinua Achebe Scholarship Fund is aimed at promoting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive scholarly environment in which outstanding undergraduate students support the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the university. Recipients should have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to undergraduate students majoring or minoring in Afro-American Studies or students with demonstrated interest in Native American and indigenous heritage. Call for Proposals for 2024 Graduate Student Symposium on (Re)imagining Black Futures
The graduate students of the W.E.B. Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies invite undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, and independent scholars to submit proposals for its Spring 2024 Graduate Student Symposium on "(Re)imagining Black Futures: Intersectionality and Coalition-Building for Reshaping Black Realities," to be held Saturday, April 27, at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

HFA Faculty Invited to Cross-Cultural Communication & Conflict Cohort: Three-Part of Workshop
The Office of Faculty Development invites interested faculty members and librarians to register for the Cross-Cultural Communication & Conflict Cohort, a three-part workshop this semester. This group will meet on Zoom from 2-4 p.m. on Feb. 13, Feb. 27, and March 12. In order to fully engage in the work, participants are asked to commit to attend all three sessions. The deadline to register is Tuesday, Feb. 6.
