HFA Career Services provides a variety of resources to assist you with career exploration, your job and internship search, networking, interviewing and entering the world of work as a professional.

The most successful way to start is to connect with our office early and often. No matter where you are on your path--still figuring out what you want to do, thinking about a new direction, or just need some guidance, our career resources and staff are here to help! 

Appointments: Visit us early and throughout your time at HFA! We will meet you wherever you are in your career planning process. 

Handshake: Your one-stop shop for accessing career information, job and internship postings, events and more. 

Interstride; (for International Students): Find international-friendly jobs in the US and beyond, networks with globally-minded peers, and resources about immigration from a career perspective through webinars and courses

UMass Professional Wardrobe Closet: You can visit the closet to browse our collection of new and gently used items, all free of charge!

Free Professional Photos: Looking to update your LinkedIn profile picture? UMass Amherst now has an Iris Photo Booth, which lets you update your headshot with the same quality of a professional photographer, but on your schedule (and for free!).

Big Interview: A training system that helps prepare you for a job interview and build your confidence.

Free Virtual Interview Space: Practice or conduct a virtual interview on campus between normal business hours (8 am to 5 pm). To book, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the bottom right card labeled “Reserve a Room for Virtual Interviews.”
