Sarisha Ray

Biology Major, Certificate of Civic Engagement and Service Learning, Class of 2026 

Will be studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea during Winter Term of 2025-2026.  

I am currently working on a thesis through the Community Scholars Program under the Civic Engagement and Service-Learning department. My thesis focuses on student food insecurity issues and potential solutions through mutual aid efforts. Outside of my academic work, I enjoy being a dancer on UMass Dhadak Fusion Dance Team, being a residential assistant for a freshmen dorm hall, and volunteering at Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s emergency department. After graduating, I plan to gain more clinical experience and engage in teaching work either in the U.S. or abroad as I work towards applying to medical school.
