Biology Major

Graduating May 2026

Studied abroad at Universidad Católica de Valencia, Spring 2025

Studying abroad in Valencia, Spain was an experience that I will cherish forever. I feel so incredibly blessed for the memories, friendships, and adventures that I was able to create. Picking a large city that was not "touristy" in the way that some other European urban areas are was a challenge that allowed me to push myself out of my comfort zone and really grow as a person. Taking courses like the History of Spanish Arts & Media allowed me to feel immersed in the culture, and classes like Marine Biology let me stay true to my scientific interests. Operating an underwater robot on the Mediterranean Sea is definitely more memorable than a slide show! My travels across Europe with people I love in my 20s is something I will never forget!

I am working on my honors thesis talking about patenting and the effects it has on health care. Specifically, I am exploring globalization and the detrimental outcomes corporations have had on poorer populations receiving access to vaccines and oral health. Currently, I am applying to dental school! I look forward to continuing my education and travels.
