Studied abroad at Charles University in Prague Spring 2025
Going to Prague was an incredibly fulfilling, dream-come-true experience. Before beginning my regular coursework, I completed an intensive two-week Czech language program that helped me connect more deeply with the local culture. My classes at Charles University often took learning beyond the classroom, with field trips across the city that brought the material to life. I also interned with PowerHUB, a small sustainability company, where I researched ESG standards across the EU and developed market strategies for sustainable products. Beyond academics, I traveled to twelve new countries, visited several bucket-list destinations, and discovered what has become one of my favorite cities in the world.
My senior year at UMass includes completing my Honors Thesis focused on the environmental and economic impacts of the growing number of data centers being built for AI, combining my interest in environmental and tech policy. Going forward, I’m looking into careers in sustainability, energy transition, AI policy, state government, or law before going back to school in a few years for my MPA or JD. I’ve been fortunate to have very fulfilling internships and professional experiences during my time as a student at UMass, which I hope will guide me going forward into post-grad.
