Studied abroad in Barcelona during Summer 2024

Studying abroad was by far the highlight of my undergraduate career. I learned how to connect with people in ways that transcended cultural and language barriers. I immersed myself in Spanish culture through food, language and festivals. The course that I took in international marketing helped widen my lens and allowed me to begin to think globally with a semester-long international expansion project. Additionally, my food and culture course taught me the cultural nuances that affect typical Spanish food. A highlight of my study abroad experience was attending La Fiesta de San Juan in June by sitting on the beach, watching fireworks with locals and eating the typical Spanish dessert of the event, coca.

At this time, I am working on completing my Honors Thesis on student athlete mental health in relation to NIL opportunities and social media, specifically TikTok. I am conducting qualitative interviews with student athletes from varying universities to gain insights on these topics. Next fall, I will be pursuing my MSBA at Isenberg.
