Ella Ford
Psychology Major
Bachelor of Science Psychology Candidate, May 2026
Studied abroad in Christchurch, New Zealand at the University of Canterbury in Spring of 2025. My study abroad experience was wonderful; it provided me with the opportunity to push myself out of my comfort zone as well as explore another part of the world. During my time abroad, I met people from all over the world, explored the vast beautiful nature that exists in New Zealand, and grew as a person.
I am pursuing my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology within the College of Natural Sciences and Commonwealth Honors College and expect to graduate in May of 2026. Along with this degree, I will be graduating with a Letter of Specialization in Developmental Disabilities and Human Services and as a Fellow in the International Scholars Program. I am currently completing my thesis, the Impact of Autism Competency on Pre-Service Teachers. After graduating, I will be taking a gap year in New Zealand to broaden my knowledge base and understanding of the impact that I want to have in my career. After this year I plan to work towards obtaining my PhD in Clinical Psychology.
