Adi Martin

Double Major in Film Studies and Theater, Art Minor, 2026 

Studied abroad in Florence, Italy during Summer 2025. My study abroad experiences really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I became much more independent and sure of myself. It was my first time out of the country, and it provided me with a wider worldview and perspective of what the world is like outside of the United States. This cross-cultural experience taught me to appreciate different ways of life and reevaluate my own subconscious beliefs. I learned so much about both the world and myself.  

I am currently working on my honors thesis, for which I’m making a short film based off a screenplay I wrote about a queer friend group and their various experiences as members of the queer community. As for after graduation, I plan to continue producing my own films as I work on various film and theater productions, gaining experience in various areas of both film and theater. I will then use this experience to begin directing on a more professional level and work my way up from there.
