As my senior year enters its final stretch, I've been reflecting on what I want to experience before leaving Amherst after graduation. With only two semesters remaining, it's time to do everything I've been meaning to but haven't gotten around to yet. So, here is my senior year bucket list - maybe I will see you some of you there!

Watch the Sunrise at Mount Pollux

One thing I have never managed to do is wake up before sunrise while at school and enjoy a peaceful morning. This spring, I plan  to drive over to Mount Pollux, part of the Kestrel Land Trust, and enjoy the panoramic views of the Mount Holyoke Range at sunrise. While waking up early is not something I do happily, I think this will most definitely be worth it. Amherst is such a beautiful area so it only makes sense to enjoy all it has to offer in the early hours of the morning.

See a Movie in the Black Box Theater

In the basement of the Student Union lies the Black Box Theater which generally hosts campus theater and performance groups, but also screens movies. The University Programming Council (UPC) hosts the movie nights and I want to make sure I support to support this great campus organization and enjoy a night at the theater.

Watch a UMass Soccer Game

As a former soccer player, I have always wanted to attend a UMass men's or women's home game. I love the sport and am eager to support UMass athletics, so I'm excited to cheer on the teams from the stands. There are also plenty of other games I want to attend during my senior year, so I will be trying my best to get to as many as possible,

Visit my First-year Dorm Room

During the last week of classes, many seniors will knock on the door of their first-year dorm hoping for one last peek before they graduate. My roommate and I, who still live together, plan to visit the 3rd floor of Oak Hall and say goodbye to where it all started. I am sure this moment will be bittersweet for us both.

Digitally Document My Senior Year

In high school, I used to record a one-second video clip each day and I combined them all into a video each year. I thought doing something similar to that would be a fun way to document my final year at UMass. This time around I plan to make a weekly TikTok documenting my week so that I have something I can always look back on.

Host A Dinner Party

A great aspect of living off-campus is that I now have plenty of space to host all of my friends. This year I plan to host a dinner party with all of my closest friends so that we can eat delicious food and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed atmosphere. This will be a fun way to celebrate our last year together and soak up every last second we have.

These are just a few of the things I am planning to do throughout my senior year, but if you have any more ideas please be sure to let us know! If you are an senior, I hope you have the best year yet!
