About

Hi! I’m Rachel, and I am so grateful to be part of the Honors community here at the University of Massachusetts. Throughout my life, I have held many different roles that have blended together to cultivate my passion for supporting students in defining and achieving success -- however that looks for them.

I earned my B.A. in Psychological Sciences from the University of Connecticut, where I also worked as a peer advisor for the psych program. After undergrad, I moved to Spain, teaching English in a primary school while also taking time to explore many cities in Europe. After Spain, I moved to North Carolina to pursue my M.S. in Counseling with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. At UNCG, I was an admissions assistant for my program and provided mental health counseling to the undergrad population through my practicum. After grad school, I moved back home to CT and worked as a mental health counselor for adolescents in the K-12 setting, dedicating myself to supporting students in identifying and pursuing their unique ambitions.

Now, I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back in the higher education setting, bringing my counseling background and commitment to holistic wellness to advising honors students through such an important journey of exploration and growth, that is your time at UMass.
