Maxine Oland

Maxine Oland is a full-time lecturer who teaches for Commonwealth Honors College. Maxine has a PhD in Anthropology, with research specialties in the archaeology of colonialism and the historic period Maya. She also has a strong interest in inclusive pedagogy, and was part of the TIDE (Teaching for Inclusiveness, Diversity, and Equity) fellowship cohort of 2018-19, through the UMass Amherst Center for Teaching and Learning. In addition to teaching, Maxine is also a working potter.
