Name of the Scholarship: Fulbright ETA
Period of the Scholarship: 9 months

As an awardee of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Madagascar, I will spend nine months fostering international collaboration both inside and outside of the classroom. In this role, I will assist in teaching English to students in Secondary schools. I hope to engage students through a book club or a science club to provide a fun and immersive approach to learning English. Outside of the classroom, I intend to continue a side research project on traditional medicine in Madagascar, as well as become engaged in the community through hospital volunteering. I am grateful to UMass CHC and the International Scholarship program for providing me the space to explore my passion for international collaboration and learning. In returning to the United States after the completion of the Fulbright ETA, I will apply for medical school with the intention of working in global health.
